Neil Nanpeng Shen


Mr. Neil Nanpeng Shen has been serving as our director since February 2017. He is the founding managing partner of Sequoia Capital China, or Sequoia. In 1999, prior to founding Sequoia, he co-founded International, Ltd., or Ctrip, a leading travel service provider in China listed on Nasdaq. Mr. Shen served as Ctrip's chief financial officer from 2000 to October 2005 and as its president from August 2003 to October 2005. He has been a director of Ctrip since 1999. Mr. Shen also co-founded Home Inns & Hotels Management Inc., or Home Inns, a leading economy hotel chain in China. Before founding Ctrip and Home Inns, Mr. Shen worked at Deutsche Bank, Chemical Bank, Lehman Brothers and Citibank and possesses more than eight years of working experience in the investment banking industry in New York and Hong Kong. In addition to the above, Mr. Shen is a director of a number of public and private companies, including but not limited to: a director of E-House (China) Holdings Limited, a leading real estate service company in China; a director of Momo Inc., a leading mobile social networking platform in China listed on Nasdaq; and a director of Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd., a leading internet company in China. Mr. Shen received a bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1988 and a master's degree from the School of Management at Yale University in 1992.
